Returns & Refunds Policy
We have a 14-day return policy, which means you have 14 days after receiving your item to request a return.
To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.
To start a return, you can contact us at support@melinie.store. Please note that returns will need to be sent to the following address: [R. Bartolomeu Dias 2, 7º D 2735-045 Agualva-Cacém].
If your return is accepted, we’ll send you a return shipping label, as well as instructions on how and where to send your package. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted.

Damages and issues
Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.
Exceptions / non-returnable items
Certain types of items cannot be returned, like perishable goods (such as food, flowers, or plants), custom products (such as special orders or personalized items), and personal care goods (such as beauty products). We also do not accept returns for hazardous materials, flammable liquids, or gases. Please get in touch if you have questions or concerns about your specific item.
Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on sale items or gift cards.
Exchanges
The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have, and once the return is accepted, make a separate purchase for the new item.
European Union 14 day cooling off period
Notwithstanding the above, if the merchandise is being shipped into the European Union, you have the right to cancel or return your order within 14 days, for any reason and without a justification. As above, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.
Refunds
We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method within 10 business days. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.

HOW DOES THE LIFETIME WARRANTY WORK?
MELINIE is committed to providing the highest standard of jewelry – which is why we offer a Lifetime Guarantee for all purchases of Gold Plated/Vermeil jewelry. This guarantee entitles you to a one-time replacement for the piece. If for any reason we no longer carry the item, you are permitted to exchange your piece for another of equal or lesser value.
This Warranty is voided on any user damage issues (i.e: wear and tear, scratches, accidental breakage, water damage, long-term fading etc.). The shipping and handling fees are not included in all Warranty Replacements.
During these warranty periods, if a defect arises in the product and it is deemed by MELINIE to be a manufacturer's defect, follow the instructions for returning the product.
MELINIE will, at its option, to the extent permitted by law, either
- repair the product using new or refurbished parts
- replace the product with a new product that is equivalent to the product that is to be replaced
- refund to you all or part of the purchase price of the product
MELINIE shall have no obligation to repair, replace, or refund until the defective product is returned to our warehouse. A replacement product assumes the remaining warranty of the original product. When a refund is given, the returned product becomes MELINIE's property.

EXCLUSIONS AND LIMITATIONS
This Limited Warranty applies only to solid gold and vermeil jewelry products manufactured by MELINIE. This Limited Warranty does not apply to damage caused by
- wear and tear
- accident
- abuse
- misuse
- misapplication
- use of non-MELINIE products
Do not expose your MELINIE jewelry to harsh chemicals or environments, as they can alter the appearance of the product. These include, but are not limited to:
- liquid silver polish
- pools
- hot tubs
- salt water
- spas
- showers / baths
Do not sleep in the jewelry. Please refer to the cleaning and care instructions for additional information on caring for and protecting your MELINIE product. Failure to follow these instructions may constitute abuse, misuse, or misapplication of your MELINIE product.
